JAPANESE GARDEN

A peaceful place popular to couples, family, nature lovers, and photographers. The Japanese Garden along Lake Caliraya (in Laguna) is a memorial park built by the Japanese government in the 1970s in order to commemorate the Japanese soldiers who died during the Second World War.

According to some locals and legends, it is also the burial site of General Yamashita of the Yamashita treasure fame.

According to Cavinti, Laguna residents there are many changes that happened here in Japanese Garden. They say that in the past years, Japanese Garden is more beautiful and maintained compared to its condition today.

Entrance fee for adult is 20php and 15 for children. They also have entrance fees for those who wants to have Photoshoots/Pre-Nuptial at the Japanese Garden.

In exchange of the entrance fees the guard will give you a small piece of paper that serves us your ticket.

There are available spaces for parking, so no worries.

They have a small store inside, located beside the comfort room. But, you can bring your own foods here, no extra charge / corkage fees. :)

But if you don't feel to bring your own food, there are sari-sari stores outside located after you pass the Camarin Resort.

Climbing this steps will offer you a greater view of some huge trees that will truly show you how historic this place is.

At the top you will see the amazing view of Caliraya Lake, but the last time we visit the garden, there are some overgrown plants that blocks the amazing view.

I only have limited picture of the place, because we just go there to conduct a research. so I hope I can go back there, so I can update my blog. hihi :D

How to get to Japanese Garden?

By commuting ---> From Calamba, Laguna:

Ride a jeepney with Sta. Cruz signboard (or a bus to Sta. Cruz)
Tell manong to drop you at the "Pagsawitan" or terminal going to "Lumot".
Then ride a jeepney going to Lumot. The jeepney will take you directly to Japanese Garden because it's just along the way.

Take note that there are only few passing public Jeepneys. It's always better to bring your own means of transportation.

*If you are planning to conduct a study here, and you need to interview some of the people in their management. . you have to bring a letter because they are very strict.
