LA PACHIRA

On our way going to La Pachira, the Jeepney driver brought us to the souvenir/pasalubong shop "the trappist abbey".



The monks earn a living by selling souvenir items like bracelets, keychains, rosary, bags, clothes, etc. and processed foods (good for pasalubong) such as jellies, jams, candies, piyaya and more, which are sold in a small shop within the monastery grounds.

 Outside the shop there's a mid-old lady selling her "bukayo" or the coconut with sugar which is a little bit sticky but I assure you, you'll regret if you don't buy and taste it. :P

La Pachira Resort is located in Guisi, Brgy. Dolores, Nueva Valencia Guimaras. 


You can rent a cottage, table, or room here in La Pachira. But the problem is. . you have to go down of this stair if you want to go swimming in the beach which is I find more difficult for others specially if you have kids and if you're with someone old (grandfather, grandmother, etc.). We felt a little disappointment in this part. :(



It offers a breath taking white sand beach view that is very relaxing to the eye.

We decided to rent a table down here coz it's very difficult if we're going up and then down the stairs. It can take a lot of our time. So we placed the table beside the trees. But PLEASE, clean the area before you leave and they told us to return the table after using it.


The sand is pure, as usual there are shells. Leaves are falling from the trees. And on the side there are branches of the trees. I can say that they're not cleaning that side. 


We found this poor dead puffer fish. I decided to take a picture coz it looks alive. And I find it cute. :D After that, I take it back to the ocean (even if it's already dead). :< so sad.

GUISI LIGHTHOUSE


It is situated near the "Faro de Punta Luzaran" or popularly known as the "Guisi Lighthouse".



You have to pay 10php-20php for the entrance fee. Maybe for the maintenace or some expenses of the historic lighthouse. You can do picture picture here. Feel the fresh air and appreciate the wonderful and amazing view of the ocean.


There's a sign that tourist/s are now allowed to climb the lighthouse because it's too dangerous. It's like the lighthouse will fall anytime. It's rusty and some of its parts are gone.

On the other side, they have there the new lighthouse. Unfortunately, I cant find my own picture of that. :<

Anyways, If you plan to visit the place, better bring your own food. Specially water. And if possible bring a foldable table and even chairs. :)

Manuel Uy Beach Resort is located in Brgy. Sta. Ana in Calatagan, Batangas. This place is good for budget travelers and those who wants to relax. Better bring your own tents if you're planning to visit this place coz they don't have any means of accommodations here. No hotels, no rooms, no cottages. If you don't want to sleep in a tent, better visit "Stilts" resort. It's near Manuel Uy. But I think It's a little expensive there. They have bathroom here. and there's a fee. The water is a bit salty but you have no choice. hehe. You'll surely love it! :) Actually this place is just our 2nd option. (kahit alam kong masakit ang maging 2nd option lang! hehehe) Because my family planned that we go to Guimaras, but for some reasons it turned out going to this resort. But I loved the place. <3 any of the 2 (Guimaras or Damires Hills is okay with me) We visited this place for day-tour only. Because on the next day, we'll be going back to Laguna. A farmer and a Carabao. Symbolized that this place is a combination of a leisure farm and a resort.  The resort is located at the heart of Brgy. Damires, Janiuay, Iloilo, Philippines. MANUEL UY, CALATAGAN, BATANGAS (2018)

(This is my follow up blog for Manuel uy since we go there twice <2017 last year and this year March 2018> and they've done many changes.) When we want to escape from toxic people and/or stressful work we think of a "beach getaway". When we just want to relax, have fun, and feel the nature some of us wants it to be in a "beach" or somewhere peaceful. Like MANUEL UY BEACH RESORT CAMPSITE (located in Calatagan, Batangas) When you want to relax this is the perfect place for you. They don't have cottages/rooms for guests to rent but they have tents for rent. You can bring your tent or rent their tent/s. But I suggest to bring your own tent if you're a budget traveler or if you want to lessen your expenses.
